OTOWS 2006: Las Vegas Area Attractions

Las Vegas Area Attractions

Nature

Las Vegas is a jumping off point for adventures into Death Valley and the Mojave Desert, Southern Utah (Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park), Arizona (Lake Havasu and the Grand Canyon) and most of these attractions can be visited in a day trip. There are many tour packages offered to these destinations or they can be visited by renting a car.

The Strip and Downtown

Many Las Vegas attractions are also on the Strip or in Downtown. Starting at Sunset, downtown Las Vegas has a free sound and light show called the Fremont Street Experience. Weekends usually include various soundstages and entertainment. Downtown is also the closest you can come to Old Las Vegas—with $0.99 drink specials and other attempts to get you into the casinos.
