Deborah Woody and Suzanne Kovacs
"Glory unto the Scarlet Woman, Babalon, the Mother of Abominations, that
rideth upon the Beast, for she hath spilt their blood in every corner of the
earth and lo! she hath mingled it in the cup of her whoredom." Embark on a
sacred journey with our 7 Priestesses as we encounter our Lady Babalon! This
original ritual experience, inspired by 'The Vision and the Voice', will
explore the divine feminine through the mysteries of the Graal, the Sacred
Vessel of our Lady Babalon.

Having practiced yoga and magick for many years, I received Minerval
Initiation in 1997. I was a founding member of Blue Horizon Camp, serving as
Secretary and later as Master. As a Chartered Initiator and Ordained Priestess
I delight in sharing magick through Initiations, the Gnostic Mass, or original
rituals like Encountering Babalon. I was also recently honored to receive an
appointment to the Electoral College.
Suzanne Kovacs
I worked Craft for many years before formalizing my interests by studying and
initiating with the Ancient Keltic Church in 1998. Working for years as a
solitary crafter and later an ordained priestess with the Ancient Keltic
Church, I have conducted weddings, wiccanings and passing rites, and sponsored
public rituals celebrating traditional Celtic festivals. Since my initiation
in the OTO, I have participated in Rites of Eleusis and both participated in
and sponsored original rituals, and continue to serve the Thelemic community
as Treasurer of Blue Horizon Oasis; as an ordained Deacon; and as a novice
Priestess.

This presentation will be an interactive workshop on the beauty and
usefulness of the female body and her parts in magickal practice. The
Solar Phallic aspect of the OTO provides a wonderful playground for the
opposite and lunar aspects of the feminine divine. We will be looking
into the etymological and anatomical history and the various magickal
properties of this part of us that is oh so much fun! Everyone welcome
to attend!
Kim Knight (Soror LISL) is an initiate originally hailing from the
back woods of Montana. She moved to Portland, OR and took her
Minerval in April of 1999. She currently serves her local body,
Sekhet-Maat Lodge, as an Ordained Priestess, Chair of the Initiation
Committee and as Mass Coordinator. She also serves those in her
Valley as a member of the Committee of Four for Psyche-Eros Rose Croix
Chapter. She has been working as a Chartered Initiator there since
2002 and works very closely with the Initiation Officer Training and
Initiator Training programs there. Miss Kim currently serves USGL as
the Chair of the National Conference Committee and as a Certified
Initiator Trainer. She is currently studying for her Masters degree
in Chinese Medicine at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine after a
long path of health services including dentistry and Direct Entry
Midwifery. She has found nothing more fulfilling and beautiful than
her local body, its temple and the initiates which inhabit it and
loves to pour her energy into the body to "refill her Bucket O'
Thelema" She lives with her partner Geoff and their Fire Eating Dog,
Miss Pig.

Female archetypes in kabbalah often represent extremes. The Shekinah is a woman with no
personality of her own. Lilith is the she devil that kills children. How can we as women
kabbalists take, understand and work with these concepts? We will explore these archetypes
as well as other female concepts in kabbalah.
Anita Kraft aka Tau Anna Rose lives in New Albany, Indiana with her two children. Her
daughter is a Minerval in the OTO. She joined the OTO in 1993 and has served as Master of
IAO Abraxas Oasis in Bloomington Indiana. She is a chartered initiator, an ordained
Priestess and is currently a Bishop in the EGC and an SGIG in the OTO. She has traveled
extensively for the order visiting bodies all across USGL. Currently she is working with a
local group in the hopes of establishing a new chartered body in Louisville, KY.

In the beginning - b'reshith - there was the formless void. There was no god, no man, no
force to shape. But a power existed and a potential. The first power was desire, the key to
Babalon. This seminar explores and elucidates the idea of Babalon as a unified feminine
god-form whose key is one of the very things we are taught to kill in order to become more
spiritual beings - Desire. We will explore Babalon as an archtype and god-form, with
particular focus on the development of the concept of a unified feminine - a feminine no
longer divided into tradional life stages or archetypal women.
Cindy Weinstein, aka Soror Magdalena 463, joined the OTO in 1998. Having spent most of her
life re-inventing the wheel, so-to-speak, it came as a great surprise to find that someone
else had already thought of many of the magical and philosophical ideals that she had
constructed from trial, much error, and pure intuitive foolishness. Not only that but it
had a name—Thelema. Having found her spiritual home after 40 years she soon became
active in the various Southern California bodies. At the Spring Equinox of 2003 she
accepted the Mastership of LVX Oasis in Los Angeles where she continues to serve today.
Cindy is an artist by trade and temperament—currently holding the position of
marketing/creative director for a modestly sized corporation. She also is a trained weaver
and spinner who, having no room in LA for looms, contents herself with knitting needles and
her small spinning wheel. She is the mother of two wonderful children, very nearly adults
at ages 21 and 17, and partner to Frater PFDV—himself a long time OTO initiate and
student of the mysteries. She continues to make her home in Los Angeles, in the much
maligned San Fernando Valley—which she loves in spite of what "they" say.

There are rituals of the elements and feasts of the times, and we all enjoy such a sensory
indulgence. Whether as an eucharist, grounding device, entheogen, celebration or sex
magickal elixir; the feast is a powerful part of ceremonial ritual practice. Explore roles,
traditions and uses of the magickal feast in ritual.
Kerry Kurowski (Soror Hypatia), Master of William Blake Oasis, has been studying ceremonial
magick since 1994. Having read the Tarot since age 15, she came to magick when began to
study the Thoth Tarot deck. She joined the Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.) in 1995, was WBO
treasurer from 1998-2000 and took over as Master in 2001.

The tattoo has always held some mystique for people, whether it be the designs themselves
or the whole process of etching something permanent into human flesh. Those that bear these
marks have throughout history as we know it have been branded by society as "loose",
"undesirable" "rough and abrasive" or "uneducated brutes", only for sailors, bikers and
whores, when in truth there is a whole history to the tattoo that society has refused to
acknowledge or accept, that the tattoo really is and has been a magickal mark. The act of
getting and giving a tattoo is a rite of initiation unto itself. We will do a small ritual
tattoo on a pre-selected volunteer, this will incorporate the audience in participating in
chanting and energy work.
Mulysa Mayhem has been tattooing since 1990ev having apprenticed in the Boston Underground
and lobbied for tattoo legalisation in Massachusetts from 1995-1999. She has been featured
in several national and international tattoo publications such as Body Art in
the UK, Skin & Ink in the U.S. and seen on CNN news. She has been
lecturing on the Magick of Tattoo since 1996 and performs private ritual tattooing by
special appointment. She has been involved in the world of magick since her teens and
successfully combined ritual with tattoo to create a special career path of her own. She
also works in other mixed mediums such as pastel and acrylic and also does performance art
based on magick for entertainment as well as education. She resides by the ocean in
historic Salem, MA with her life partner, Scott, and can more often than naught be found at
Lightwave Tattoo in Saugus, MA.

To the ancients, Nuit was more than the stars, she was the fabric of space whose body
contained all life and eternity. What is the relation of this Goddess to the modern day?
Who is she now? This presentation will first explore Nuit's role in Egyptian religion. An
overview of her imagery will equip you to recognize and appreciate her in Egyptian art.
Moving on to 1904 and Crowley, Nuit speaks for herself in Liber al vel Legis. A personal
spiritual interpretation reveals Nuit as the initiator of a new paradigm for modern magick.
Join us we explore the symbols, character and message of the Starry One of Heaven.
Sor. Ashera lives in Salt Lake City Utah. With the O.T.O. since 1995, she is the E.G.C.
Coordinator of Horus Oasis, and an Ordained Priestess. For 16 years Ashera has pursued her
education as a ritualist studying world religions, cross-cultural mythology, theology, and
magick. Over the years she has participated in panel discussions, talk shows, given
lectures at Universities and police departments, and taught many workshops. Her personal
spiritual focus is devotion to the Divine Feminine. She admits to being completely obsessed
with Our Lady of the Stars, collecting Nuit art, prayers, poetry, and arcane Egyptian
references.
Soror Lutea
This presentation focuses on the power of female sexuality and how through time, woman,
because of her hormonal cycle, has always held a powerful position. We will explore the
power of her blood, her milk, and her vaginal fluids, how they have formed her river of
history, and how women have learned to accept and wield this power that their body
provides. From birth through menopause, this continual flowing of her fluids becomes the
fountain of life, perpetually fulfilling her role as the Holy Chalice for mankind; yet ever
remaining a mystery that men will never know themselves.
Soror Lutea, Sister Lita-Luise Chappell, has been an O.T.O. Member since 1991. She is the
Body Master of Golden Lotus Camp, a Priestess in the E.G.C., a member of the Psychology
Guild, a Pastoral Counselor and a member of the Grand Tribunal. After receiving her MA in
Psychology with an emphasis in Health Education, getting certified as a Clinical Mind-Body
Hypnotherapist and a Neuro-Linguistics Practitioner, she opened a private practice in 1996
called The Balance Within. Presently she is a doctoral candidate in Sexology at the
Institute for The Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco.

This workshop is an opportunity to experiment with visualization, sensual touch, and
healing energy inside a sacred space. The techniques used will include stimulating
dermatomes that correspond to specific charkas by excitatory light touch and soothing deep
touch techniques, coupled with visualization of light reaching from the hands, through the
nerves, and back to the chakras. The removal of clothing, beyond pushing up a long sleeve,
is unnecessary to participate in the workshop. Some handouts of dermatome maps and chakras
will be provided. A discussion of ways to use touch to enhance sex magick will follow the
demonstrations. This discussion will include ways to enhance a partner's receptivity,
specifically focusing on inducing a passive state in a male partner.
Began comparative religious studies independently as a teenager. Wiccan for about 5 years,
first with a Gardnerian group, later with a Ukrainian solitaire tradition. Shamanic
practitioner for about 15 years. Joined OTO in 1998. I'm also a hospice nurse, hold a law
degree, and am a published author (The Encyclopedia of Shamanism). I'm also a
licensed massage therapist. I'm currently working part time and trying to start a new
career in popular writing.

This presentation begins with definitions of Thelema and feminism. The presentation goes on
to examine three forms of Thelema: Thelemic fraternal organization, Thelemic religion, and
the language in which Thelema is expressed. The presentation then considers the future of
feminist Thelema.
Brandy Williams is Master of Vortex Camp. Her published works include Ecstatic Ritual:
Practical Sex Magic and Practical Magic for Beginners. She has been an active teacher and
organizer in the magical communities for 20 years.
Jessica Melusine
This class will focus on exploring marginalized images of women from the worlds of high and
low culture with emphasis on the low, or what is seen in "bad taste". What makes a woman in
bad taste and how can this embody magick or wholeness? We'll talk about The Homewrecker,
The Slut, The Queen, The Ballbuster, The Bitch, The Butch, The Whore, The Freak, The Soccer
Mom, The Psycho, The Stepford Wife, The Dying Saint, The Bunny, and The Scarlet Woman as
well as other examples in varieties of media and looking on what happens when media figures
and representations collide head-on with the Divine and what happens when we can be
hopelessly devoted to them. We'll talk about class, culture and media and have a ritual
where these female figures come out to work it with us.
Jessica Melusine is a writer and performer who lives and works in the Washington, DC area.
Her work has appeared in the books Red Light: Saints, Sluts and Superheroes,
Shameless: Women's Intimate Erotica and Zaftig: Well Rounded
Erotica and in a forthcoming anthology from Soft Skull Press. She publishes the zine
Houri for Hire, performs spoken word and burlesque and is active in the
William Blake Oasis of the OTO.

Most people consider Our Lady Babalon to be one of the major deities
of the Thelemic pantheon. This presentation will explore another
interpretation of BABALON: not as an entity but as a magickal formula
that is especially suitable for women. Her formula can be traced upon
the Tree of Life, along with other important Thelemic formulas such as
ABRAHADABRA and ON. As all humans contain the entire Tree within their
subtle anatomies, the use of such formula is not restricted to gender.
However, when one works with their mundane sexuality it is much more
powerful and efficacious. This topic has never been widely presented
before, being kept within small groups of working magickians and only
hinted at by Crowley himself.
Marlene Cornelius began her O.T.O. career at Kilili Camp in New
Orleans in 1986 e.v., and served as Treasurer of that body through its
elevation to Kali Lodge. In the summer of 1988 e.v., she moved to
Berkeley, CA and became an active member of Thelema Lodge and served
as Treasurer under several Masters of the Body. She co-founded Red
Flame, a Thelemic Journal, in 1993 e.v. and has published thirteen
volumes at this time. In 1994 e.v., Marlene became the Master of
Pangenetor Lodge, which produced numerous pamphlets under the name
Pangenetor Publications.
After the closure of Pangenetor, Marlene remained active within 418
Lodge through her close friendship with Soror Meral, Phyllis Seckler.
In May of 2005 e.v.
she became one of three founding members of the Pax Templi Project,
which has progressed to become chartered as Therion-Babalon Oasis in
April of 2006 e.v.
Other milestones include being chartered as an Initiator of the O.T.O.
in 1990 e.v., ordained as a Priestess of the E.G.C. in June of 1994
e.v., elevated to the Senate of the O.T.O. in 1995 e.v. and appointed
as interim High Priestess of Alpha Chapter in May
2006
e.v. Marlene has also been an initiate of the A∴A∴
since 1990 e.v. and, although her focus is in solitary Work, she has
written and performed in many group rituals. She considers herself
primarily as a ceremonial magician with mystic tendencies.
